Department of Mechanical Engineering and Alumni cell is going to organize a Webinar under the aegis of GNIOT, Greater Noida, on the topic “Introduction to advance driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles” presented by Mr. Amit Gupta (Alumnus 2008-12), Vehicle Dynamic Engineer, Mercedes Benz (R&D) on 26th March 2021.
As the scenario of technology is enhancing day by day in the various fields of Engineering, Automobile sectors are also improving their R&D, by implementing various new innovative technologies based on various future demands. Advance Driver Assistance systems (ADAS) is among the hottest and futuristic system in the field of automobiles, which make the use of electronic systems that assist drivers in driving and parking system and also brings the concept of a driver-less vehicles, which will dominate the roads of the Globe in the coming future. 
ADAS combines the technologies of both Mechanical and electronics to fulfill this task. LIDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) systems has been already developed and currently researches are going to make them suitable for an automobile by making use of advance LASER scanning and high resolution cameras. This system can make a vehicle driverless in the near future. ADAS increases vehicle and road safety and can completely eliminate the risks of road accident.
