World Health Day

Around the world, the right to health of millions is increasingly coming under threat. Diseases and disasters loom large as causes of death and disability. Conf licts are devastating lives, causing death, pain, hunger and psychological distress etc.  To address these types of challenges, the theme for World Health Day 2024 is 'My health, my right’.  The year 2024 marks the 76th anniversary of WHO. 
This year theme focuses on the fundamental human right: access to quality health care, education and information.
Students of  B.Sc. Nursing 1st year * from GNIOT Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSAR) has observed World Health Day at different hospital like Green City Hospital, Felix Hospital, and Neo Hospital from 8th to 10th April’2024 , keeping in view of the WHO theme the main purpose was to create awareness regarding healthy lifestyle, Self-care and Right choices contributing to healthy life.
So, students actively participated in various activities i.e.  Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Role Play and health education.  
The programme was open for the patients, their attendants and health care professionals present at the hospitals. It was much appreciated by the hospital staff and the participants.
