With a similar objective of developing the knowledge and acumen of the students to transform them into futuristic ones, under the dynamic leadership of our Hon'ble Director Prof. (Dr.) Dhiraj Gupta Sir and Prof. ( Dr. ) B.S. Chauhan, Dean 1st year, Department of B.Tech. 1st Year today organised a webinar on 'Machine Learning ' for the faculty members and the students.

The expert for the session was Dr. Prashant Singh Rana, Associate Professor ( CS), Thapar Institute of Engg.& Tech., Patiala.

The session started with welcome note by Dr. B. S. Chauhan, Dean 1st year who welcomed the expert ,all the faculty members and the students. He informed the students about the recent developments in the field science and technology specifically mentioning the advent of humanoid robots.

Then our Hon'ble Director Sir addressed the students and reiterated the need to explore beyond the limits . He also enlightened them with the utility of Machine Learning in future endeavours .

After that, Dr Prashant took the centerstage and explained in detail the nuances of Deep Learning and Machine Learning. He urged students regarding the importance of Web Services for successful presentations. He , then, highlighted the importance of choosing the best Research Methodology, projects and mini- projects. The emphasis on inclusive learning using platforms like Kaggle, GitHub etc. made the presentation more imbibing. He implored the students to focus on developing their skill set so as to be ahead in life. At last, the field was left open for queries.

It was quite an amazing session focused on futuristic learning. Ms Vasudha Tiwari was the moderator of the lecture, Dr Kapil Tyagi, Dr Moti Singh , Ms Pallavi Gupta and Mr Arun Chaudhary managed the lecture in an effective and flawless manner.
