Women Grievance Cell (WGC), GNIOT (Engg. Institute) is celebrated International Women's Day SRISHTI-2024 on 15th March 2024. Different games, activities and a special talk was organized to build motivation and confidence of teaching and non teaching female staff. The motive of this program was to build a workplace that honors and uplifts every women's contribution. A short video on SHE for HER was screened to the audience. The chief guest of the program, Smt. Sapna Gupta Ji, Member of Management, shared her opinion about the gender equality and empowerment all women which is very important that ensures inclusiveness in quality education to promote lifelong learning.
The first guest of honor Dr. Sabita Madhvi Singh, Joint Director, Ministry of Jal Shakti, New Delhi, discussed about the upcoming time as an opportunity to transform the momentum into action, to empower women in all settings, rural and urban, and celebrate the activists, who are working relentlessly to claim women’s rights and realize their full potential.
The second guest of honor, Kavi Ravi Prakash Sharma Ji, Ghaziabad, explained the importance for celebrating the International Women's Day, as an attention towards social, political, economic, and cultural issues which women face, and to advocate for the advancement of women within all social areas through his poetry.
Prof. (Dr.) Dhiraj Gupta, Director, shared an opportunity to advocate for positive change, promote gender diversity and inclusivity, and celebrate the progress made towards achieving gender equality while recognizing the work that still needs to be done.
Dr. Shivani Dubey, Convener, WGC, discussed that age or any circumstance is not a reason to stop achievements and women should be stepped out in continuing to break stereotypes and achieve success in their chosen fields.
The dignitaries distributed token of gift to housekeeping female staff sponsored by GNIOT (Engg. Institute). The WGC team conducted various programs for all the female staff. All the female staff actively participated in the various programs; dance, singing, poetry and games and presented their talent. WGC appreciates and thanks the management and director sir for their support in the conduction of women’s day celebrations. The celebration was brought to a conclusion by hope and faith being instilled among all women.
