On 4th February 22, SPICMACAY Orientation was organised by GNIOT MBA INSTITUTE on zoom platform, 2:00pm onwards.
All faculties along with students attended the session via zoom and Youtube live.
SPIC MACAY is a Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Culture Amongst Youth.
Prof (Dr.) Rudresh Pandey, Director GNIOT-MBA Institute welcomed the guest .
Dr. Rajshree Singh, UP West Cordinator & Vice Chairperson briefed about the SPICMACAY and about the culture of India and also explained the beauty of SPICMACAY logo eye which represents the inner wisdom, perception and inquiry to look at life with deep elements of truth.
Guest Artist Ms Nancy Sahu, an Artiste and IT Professional explained Rabindranatyam, a dance form created by Rabindranath Tagore.
Nancy Sahu is a GNIOT Alumni and uses dance to make a powerful statement. In one of her performances, she portrayed the pain and grief of families who lost their dear ones in the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The sense of hopelessness and helplessness shone through in her ballet she presented in Rabindranatyam.
Ms Saba Khan, Coordinator SPIC MACAY- GBN & Head, Career Development Center talked about SPICMACAY Club which is set up at GNIOT and students will be able to learn our culture and classical music by organizing different activities and events.
In the end Ms Saba Khan extended vote of thanks to the eminent Guests, Director Sir, Faculty members and Students for their good coordination and support.
