National Space Day

GNIOT Institute of Professional Studies had the privilege of attending the National Space Day celebration in New Delhi, organized by AICTE on August 20, 2024. The event, titled "Creating a Space Ecosystem: A New Era - Igniting Young Minds for Space Exploration," gathered India's leading space visionaries, experts, and enthusiasts to inspire the next generation of space explorers. 

GIPS was represented by Dr. Anjum Ara, Dr. Ajay Sharma, and Prof. Sanjay Sharma.

The celebration was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. S. Somnath, Chairman of ISRO, and Prof. T.G. Sitaraman, Chairman of AICTE.

 Dr. Somnath's keynote address set the tone for the event, as he outlined ISRO's vision for India's space program and emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and government to drive innovation and progress in space technology.

Prof. Sitaraman highlighted AICTE's initiatives to promote space education and research in India. The event also showcased innovative projects and prototypes developed by students and startups, demonstrating India's vast potential in space technology.
As the event drew to a close, Dr. Somnath encouraged the young audience to pursue their dreams and contribute to India's space vision, stressing that the future of space exploration hinges on the creativity, innovation, and dedication of the next generation.
