Leveraging IP: Lab to Market Session

Students of the GNIOT Institute of Professional Studies recently participated in an insightful online session titled "Lab to Market: Leveraging IP," organized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. This awareness talk, part of the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission 2.0 (NIPAM), focused on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). The session was led by Dr. Nitin Tewari, Scientist and Head of NCL-IPG at CSIR, Pune.
Dr. Nitin provided an in-depth overview of the significance of IPR in today’s dynamic world, covering key topics including:
1.    Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights
2.    Legal Framework Governing Intellectual Property
3.    Various Types of Intellectual Property like patents, trademarks & copyrights
4.    Geographical Indications and Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layouts
The session was a valuable learning experience for students and faculty alike, concluding with a lively Q&A This event was coordinated by the IIC club, further supporting intellectual growth and awareness within the GNIOT community.
