PARAMPARA Cultural Club-GIPS organized Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on August 09, 2022, in GIPS Seminar Hall.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative taken by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of historical legacy and glorious achievements of Independent India.

The event was celebrated with great joy and fervor and witnessed the active participation of students in various events. The event started with ceremonial Lamp lighting and seeking the blessings of Maa Saraswati. Principal of GIPS Prof. Dr. Savita Mohan addressed the gathering and motivated the students and told the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom.

She also said that freedom is very precious and it is very necessary to preserve it. She stressed the fact that it is the youth of the nation who can bring a difference in society and can make the name of the country at the world level and can bring laurels to the country. On this day the sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the people. Ms. Ananya student of Bcom gave a speech on how we got freedom. This was followed by a Patriotic group song rendered by Mr. Devansh and the group along with the audience performed the song on ”Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyaara”. The same was followed by Group dance performances and skit performances by a talented bunch of students of GIPS. The event came to a close with the National Anthem.
