Natural language processing is a category of machine learning that analyses freeform text and turns it into structured data. NLP can be used anywhere an application needs to take raw user text as input-voice assistant(Alexa, Siri etc.) or a chatbot and to understand the related tools & technologies, Department of Computer Science & Engineering organised an online workshop on NLP using RASA Framework on 20/11/2021 between 04:00 pm-05:00 pm. Head of the Computer Science & Engg. Department, Dr. Rajdev Tiwari welcomed the Keynote speaker, guests and participants. Director of Engineering Institute Dr.Dhiraj Gupta inaugurated the session with his inspiring address. Expert Ms.Durga Pandey, is a technologist with expertise in NLP and statistics having more than a decade of experience in IT industry. She is currently working with JPMORGAN Chase and is passionate for about exploring ML use-cases around her. She started off by explaining the concepts behind NLP – Tokenization, Stemming, Lemmatization, Corpus etc. She demonstrated the use of RASA Framework and explained the high level view of processing pipeline. She emphasized on what, why and how of NLU and Dialog Management System(RASA core). Event was attended and benefitted by around 170 participants.
