he Department of Information Technology at GNIOT is organizing a Guest Lecture for it's second, third, and fourth year students to improve their awareness in latest technologies. The department is launching this event under the leadership of most dynamic and enthusiastic Director Dr. Dhiraj Gupta who is the main driving force behind the department’s growth.

The Department of Information Technology (IT) has taken the initiative for its 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year Students by organizing an online guest lecture on “ The role of Information Retrieval in Knowledge Management and various techniques required for Information Retrieval ” in Association with Institutional Technical Committee (ITC) on 1st September 2022, 12 Noon to 1 pm .

This seminar will be very helpful and beneficial for students as it provides basic knowledge about Information Retrieval and its techniques. The aim of the lecture is to discuss the information retrieval and various aspects of it. Information retrieval is the art and science of selecting information from a collection of documents in order to fulfill a user's need. It includes different types of information, the theories, and the methods for retrieving data or information.
