SPECIAL TALK attended by GNIOT Students
Dr Howard E Michel , President & CEO , IEEE delivered very educative & interesting talk at ST Microelectronics, Greater Noida. Five faculty members along with 150 enthusiastic students of GNIOT listened eagerly to this special talk . It was indeed a rare occasion to participate in lively session where students got an opportunity to listen firsthand account of CEO’s journey through IEEE .It was informative & motivated for the young engineers of GNIOT. Dr Howard spoke about how he commenced his life as Fighter Pilot in US Air Force & became Chief of Launch Mission for Satellites . All along IEEE kept him abreast of latest developments in technology. Finally he joined University at Dayton as a Faculty & came up through the various ranks to be the CEO of IEEE. He explained how IEEE assists students in becoming good Engineers , Networking with other professionals & skill updating . This was followed by a question & answer session. The talk ended with a lively quiz in which audience participated & enjoyed.

GNIOT has plans to open IEEE Chapter in Greater Noida & such talks go a long to increase awareness among students as was evident during the talk.
