‘Samarpan’ The CSR club, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida, organised a Tree Plantation Drive on 03 September 2021.
‘One Batch, One Tree’ was the purpose and theme of the Plantation Drive. PGDM I year and II year students collectively ploughed the tiny ground area to plant ‘Sahjan Saplings’ and pledged to nurture the saplings. The millennial managers from the I year and II year participated in this initiative with great joy and enthusiasm. Each batch planted the sapling and pledged to take care of the sapling to grow into a fully adult tree. The drive was in a way to connect the young managers with nature and learn the nature’s law to grow and preserve. All the faculty members of GIMS, along with the staff members participated and helped the students in the Plantation Drive.
Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director- GIMS, interacted with the students and made them understand the importance of plants and trees in everyone’s life and also requested the students to take the utmost care of the saplings until they become fully grown mature trees.
The motive behind the Plantation drive was to cultivate the idea of love, responsibility and affection towards our mother nature into the minds of Budding Managers.
