Energy Swaraj Yatra with Solar Man Of India

Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki, profoundly known as Solar man of India aka Solar Gandhi, will be visiting Greater Noida Institute of Technology GNIOT on 29th March’2023.

A Professor at the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay created a platform for effective public involvement in the mission of mitigating climate change known as Energy Swaraj Foundation. With a nobel objective of making people aware about solar energy and curtailing the use of carbon based fuel that is majorly responsible for climate change, Professor Solanki started 11 years long Energy Swaraj Yatra in a specially designed solar bus by taking a hard pledge to not go home for 11 years and live in the bus to create Energy Swaraj as public movement.

A reputed author, of over 100 research papers cited more than 5000 times apart from holding 4 US patents and 4 books on solar and renewable energy is a man of apex dedication towards nature. His one of the workshops had mentions in the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most LED lights lit simultaneously”.

GNIOT is humbled to participate in his mission of making Energy Swaraj adopted by every individual, each institution, and each country.
